Beyond The Yonder

When I look beyond the yonder My mind captures vividly your frame It all seems like yesterday and yet

When I look beyond the yonder
My mind captures vividly your frame
It all seems like yesterday and yet
We made ourselves our very own
Enemies without putting consideration
Into any long-sighted future
How myopic we were!

We were caught naively in the confusion
Of our romantic euphoria
Ostensibly a collision of two bodies
On a self-destructive path of respite
No one warned me, I blindly followed
Your path, even with those
Clandestine misgivings

Now I am a legendary sufferer in
My own right, clueless and directionless
Our love got spiced with the dearth of romance
And the creeping in of apathy
Emotionally bankrupt
Romantically freed, or so I think

When I look beyond the yonder
I realize how disillusioned I am
Trying to shrug of these stinging thoughts
Is absolutely an onerous task
Nevertheless, I have to free myself
From this taxing thing while I roll
Towards my path of self-discovery
The end has been thrust on us.
